A quick field guide to score more damage during the 30-minute Bear Hunt.
🎯 Score more points
Prepare before it starts: save your Bear joiner presets, make sure marches are home, and arrange city positions near the trap if possible.
Fill strong rallies quickly. If your own rally is much weaker, spend your marches joining your alliance's strongest captains. Strong captains should keep their rallies flowing.
Keep every useful march cycling for the full 30 minutes. Watch returns and launch or join again promptly; travel time and idle queues cost attacks.
Check damage in the battle reports. Compare the same captain and similar troop conditions when testing joiners or ratios. Change one thing at a time.
Alliance tip: coordinate rally starts and fills. Avoid unrelated rallies that take players' marches away from Bear Hunt.
⚔️ Joining a Bear rally
Only the far-left hero's first Expedition skill is eligible as your joiner bonus. The rally uses up to four applicable joiner skills. Your other two heroes help fill the march.
For early states, use Jessie or Jasser for damage, with Seo-yoon as an attack option. When later heroes unlock, compare their first skill and level with your current Bear joiner; an undeveloped new hero does not automatically improve the rally.
Check the rally's yellow skill indicators. If you have no suitable damage joiner, troops without heroes may be better than taking a skill slot with a defensive buff, provided your march capacity allows it.
🏹 Troops and ratio
Try a Marksman-heavy march. Begin with 10/10/80 Infantry/Lancer/Marksman; test 10/30/60 if your troop supply or damage reports favor it. Fill available march capacity rather than leaving useful troops home to hit an exact ratio.
These are starting tests, not universal best ratios. The best mix varies with captain skills, troop tiers and your available troops.
⏱ Before and during the event
Save separate joining presets with your Bear bonus hero far left.
Join a rally you can fill immediately; watch the timer and your returning marches.
Check the yellow joiner skills and a battle report. Swap out a defensive or weak first skill if it displaced an offensive one.
If an alliance uses one-troop rally leads, coordinate fills first. A rally with no troops joining wastes time.
❓ Quick FAQ
Do all three heroes matter when I start a rally?
Yes. The captain's three heroes' stats and Expedition skills can affect damage. Compare your own reports to decide whether leading or joining scores more.
Do all three heroes add a joiner bonus?
No. Only the far-left hero's first Expedition skill is eligible. The remaining slots mainly let you bring a full march.
Why didn't my joiner skill appear?
Only four applicable joiner skills can be used. Higher-level skills may take priority. Check the yellow skill indicators before relying on your buff.
Should I send Patrick to Bear?
Patrick's first skill adds HP, which does not directly raise damage against the Bear. Prefer an available offensive joiner. If no offensive joiner is available, consider sending troops without heroes when capacity permits.
What's the best troop ratio?
There is no single guaranteed ratio. Start with a Marksman-heavy mix, use your troops, then compare similar battle reports. A captain's skills can change the result.
