Strategy Guide & Event Reference
⚑ Banner & Territory Rules
• Each banner covers a 7×7 tile area centred on it
• HQ covers a 14×14 tile area — place it between traps for free corridor coverage
• Territories connect when zones touch at edges OR corners (up to 7 GU apart banner-to-banner)
• Your city must be inside territory to receive alliance buffs on every rally
• Alliance farms need 75% coverage — 3 of 4 tiles inside territory to claim
• Disconnected banners expire — you only recover 10% of resources spent
• Max 285 banners per alliance (upgradeable via Tactical Expansion research)
• Resource ratio target: Wood : Meat : Coal : Iron = 4 : 4 : 2 : 1
• Use ⚑ Auto-fix to cover all cities — respects existing HQ territory, never erases city slots
• Facilities require a banner touching their border to be captured; Fortresses & Strongholds do not
🐻 Bear Hunt — Full Strategy
Event Basics
• 30-minute event, activated by R4/R5 — trap cooldown ~47.5 hrs per trap
• Traps CANNOT fire simultaneously (official Jan 2025 patch) — each runs its own independent cycle
• Player personal cooldown: 2 natural calendar days (UTC resets) — NOT 46 hrs flat
Participate Monday anytime → next eligible Wednesday 00:00 UTC
• Bear does NOT damage troops — no healing needed after the event
Hive Placement
• Row 1 (directly beside trap) = highest priority — shortest march = first rally launched = most rallies in 30 min
• Between-trap players: scheduling flexibility — short march to whichever trap fires on their available cycle day
• Avoid placing trap near resource nodes or territory borders
Rally Wave Timing
• Rallies wait 5 minutes before marching — stagger waves so they arrive like overlapping gears
• Row 1: launch immediately · Row 2: ~2 min in · Row 3: at 3-min mark
• Target: 1 rally hitting bear every 50-60 seconds · 5 players launch per minute
• Each player can join 4-6 rallies (March Queue) — send own rally first, then join others
Damage Maximisation
• Enhance trap with Explosive Arrowheads to Lvl 5 (+25% attack) — donate even after max for Alliance Tokens
• Rally captain: all 3 heroes contribute ALL expedition skills (up to 9 buffs total)
• Top 4 joiners contribute their highest-level expedition skill
• Focus captain heroes on Attack & Lethality — Marksmen formation for highest DPS
• Best rally lead heroes: Jeronimo, Blanchette (damage), Gwen, Reina, Bradley (joiners)
😤 Crazy Joe Defence
• 20 waves · 40 min · Tue & Thu during SvS / KOI / HoC weeks
• Waves 10 & 20 — HQ only, strongest player leads that rally
• Waves 7, 14, 17 — online players only, must be active and ready
• Waves 17–19 = 31% of all event points — being online for these is critical
• Send Infantry/Lancers to allies, keep Marksmen home to defend
• Troop swap with allies — both sides earn points per kill
• Do NOT heal during the event — healing removes fighting troops from the field
• Keep your 3 best heroes defending at home; use their expedition skills
• Teleporting mid-event cancels participation for those waves
• Use the HQ Defender template — HQ central + two traps flanking for dual-timezone bear hunts
• Keep traps close to HQ so members are already in position for both Crazy Joe and Bear Hunt
🗺️ Template Guide
Classic — dense oval, 2 traps, ~100 cities, high-power inner ring around each trap Staggered — two oval blobs bridged, 2 traps, ~100 cities, good for split timezones Territory — vertical column, 2 traps side by side, ~100 cities Diamond — 45° isometric layout, 2 traps + HQ, ~100 cities — use with 🔷 ISO mode Compact — single trap, tight oval, ~50 cities — good for smaller alliances HQ Defender — HQ centred, two traps flanking for timezone A & B, optimal for Crazy Joe Custom — blank canvas, place everything manually with toolbar tools
⚑ Auto-fix — automatically places banners to cover all uncovered cities and traps,
using HQ territory first, then filling gaps in genuinely free 1×1 slots only
